Youth Services Bureau (YSB) is a multi-service agency that provides services to young people aged 12 to 24 in English and French in employment, health and housing, mental health, youth engagement and youth justice. YSB works in partnership to develop, deliver and advocate for better conditions, services and opportunities for youth and families.

They are committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental and accessible environment where individuals 12 years and older can pursue their life goals and be encouraged in making informed decisions.

Founded in 1960, YSB is one of the largest and most comprehensive non‑profit agencies serving youth in this community. More than 350 caring professionals work from 20 locations across the city to deliver a vast range of programs and services that support at‑risk youth and their families.

• young people aged 15 to 24 are more likely to experience mental illness and/or substance use disorders than any other age group

  • Each year, more than 1,200 youth rely on YSB to help them access and maintain the most basic needs — food, shelter and safety

 

  • Over 80% of youth served by our Housing and Trusteeship Program avoid becoming homeless after working with our staff on life‑skills, conflict resolution, budgeting and housing

  • Each month, YSB serves more than 3000 young people and their families in the areas of youth housing and homelessness, mental health and counselling, employment and training, and youth justice
